Companies are invited to apply to produce Cân I Gymru, with the intention of broadcasting from 2028 for two years, with an option for a further two years up to and including 2031. 

We are asking companies to approach the commission in a fresh and creative way, bringing new life to the format while retaining the popular appeal of the competition. 

The annual event takes place over the St David’s Day weekend and is one of the channel’s flagship entertainment programmes. We are looking to evolve the event to attract the country’s best songwriters and performers to compete.
