S4C invites applications for one producer to attend Rotterdam Lab at the International Film Festival Rotterdam, from 29 January to 3 February 2027.
Rotterdam Lab is an international professional development programme for emerging producers. Its five full days of masterclasses, panels, roundtables, workshops and case studies feature more than 45 industry professionals as participating speakers. The programme covers the full life cycle of a film, from early development to premiere and distribution, with co-production at its heart.
Through Sinema Cymru, a scheme supported by S4C and the Welsh Government via Creative Wales, we want to support producers with a clear creative sensibility and the ambition to develop Welsh-language cinema.
We are aware that this opportunity is at short notice, therefore we have kept the requirements brief and proportionate.
We welcome applications from producers working independently or through a production company in Wales who are developing a feature-film slate and want to strengthen their understanding of international financing, co-production, sales and distribution. You may already have film-producing credits or be progressing towards your first feature from another medium.
Applications should nominate one individual producer to attend.
Producers who have previously attended Rotterdam Lab are not eligible to apply.

Please email your application to syniad@s4c.cymru, using the subject line “Rotterdam Lab 2027 - Cais”.
Deadline: 12:00 noon on Monday 16th of November 2026.
Applicants will be notified of the outcome by email no later than Wednesday, 18 November S4C reserves the right not to award.
The successful producer will be required to confirm their availability for the full programme and agree participation terms with S4C.
