Lot 3: Will Welsh or English subtitle files be supplied for programmes to be signed?

S4C can supply English and / or Welsh subtitle files for programmes to be signed.

Lot 3: Will S4C deliver media for programmes to be signed in batches, series by series, or weekly?

S4C will deliver media for programmes to be signed weekly. However, if material is available beforehand, it may be delivered earlier in batches.

Lot 3: The document states that between 35-45 hours (slot length) is to be signed during the first quarter of the contract and between 20-35 hours (slot length) during the second quarter. Does this refer to the first and second quarters of the first, or each, contract year?

The number of hours reflects the first year of the contract and is intended to provide an indication of quieter periods throughout the year.

Lot 3: When is the expected start date for the signing services?

The first TX date for the signing contract will be 06/03/2027 and we would expect the programmes to be signed and sent back to us the previous week. The signed material should be sent to S4C on 03/03/2027 or 04/03/2027 at the latest.

The basic information form includes a field for a Central Digital Platform unique identifier, and that the CDP is available at https://www.gov.uk/find-tender but I have been unable to find the S4C Access services tender notice on Find A Tender. Could you advise?

The Invitation to Tender is available on the S4C tender website and the Sell2Wales website. As the tender is exempt from the Procurement Act, it has not been published on the UK’s Find a Tender service thus a CDP unique identifier is not required. Please enter ‘N/A’ in the relevant box of the Basic Information Form.
