Trailers worth over £10,000 offered in Ffermio competition

15 September 2011

Three agricultural trailers together worth over £10,000 will be up for grabs in a special competition on S4C’s farming series Ffermio.

First prize is a TA510 cattle trailer worth £4,956, the second prize is a HB506 horse trailer worth £4,656 and the third prize is a P6E trailer worth £804. All the trailers are manufactured and provided by Ifor Williams Trailers of Corwen, Denbighshire.

The competition begins on Ffermio on 19 September at 20:25. Viewers will be asked a question at the end of each weekly programme, and the first letter of each answer will reveal a secret eight letter word.

The competition has always attracted a huge response when it’s been run on Ffermio in the past. According to Telesgop, the production company who make the programme, they are expecting entries from across the UK.

Ffermio producer Gwawr Lewis said: "The trailers are fantastic prizes for the programme and we are very grateful to Ifor Williams Trailers.

"There is always a huge amount of interest in the competition - thousands compete every year, via the internet or with postal entries. We know that the viewers appreciate the competition because the numbers increase year on year. As S4C programmes can be seen outside Wales we have a number of people from all over the UK watching.”

Iorwerth Roberts, head of sales for Ifor Williams Trailers, said they valued the partnership with Ffermio.

He said: “We were delighted to be given the opportunity to be involved with Ffermio again this year. “We have had fantastic support from our loyal customers over many years and in return we feel it is vitally important to support the rural community – Ffermio have provided us with a great way of giving something back.”

Watch Ffermio on S4C every Monday night at 20:25 for details how to enter the competition.
