S4C to provide plenty to entertain the children at the Royal Show

The Royal Welsh Show will be buzzing with competitions, socialising and pure enjoyment at Llanelwedd next week, and S4C will be there putting on an array of events to entertain children of all ages.

From Monday 22 July to Thursday 25 July a number of fun-filled events organised by S4C will take place all around the showground.

Two of the Cyw Service presenters along with some of the Channel's most popular children's characters including Sali Mali, Super Ted and Fireman Sam will be singing and dancing in the S4C building at 11.00am and again at 4.00pm every day, and at 3.00pm on Monday and 2.00pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Everyone is welcome to come over and join in the fun.

The Cyw presenters will also be reading stories to the little ones at the Mudiad Ysgolion Meithrin stall on the showground at 12.00pm every day, and again at the Twf stall at 2.00pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Some of the various S4C children's characters will also be entertaining the

youngest children at the Twf stall at 12.00pm every day, Cyw will be dancing on the bandstand every lunchtime, and Fireman Sam will be coming to say hi by the fire brigade on the showground each day at 1.30pm.

The showground is sure to be full of animals but S4C is bringing in a few more for special Gwylltio session on the showground in the company of the series' presenter, Rhys Bidder. Rhys will be at the S4C building on Monday at 2.00pm and again at 3.30pm, and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 12,00pm and 3.00pm with a Kestrel, Barn Owl, Little Owl, Tawny Owl and a Polecat! Children can hold and stroke the animals while learning more about them.

And following the exciting final of S4C's cooking series, Cog1nio, winner Non Morris Jones who's a pupil at Ysgol Tryfan in Bangor will be cooking one of her own recipes from the Cog1nio healthy recipes book in the company of professional cook Nerys Howell outside the Food Pavilion at 1.00pm on Thursday 25 July. The new Cog1nio 2013 cookbook will be sold at the event.
