Can we please remind you of the system for delivering billings and programme titles, especially when considering how delivering the correct Metadata information helps with the prominence and searchability of our content across our publishing platforms.
Can you please ensure that individual and episodic billings are delivered for every episode, including all childrens programming - whilst considering:
EPG Titles: 35 characters only (including spaces)
General Billings: Maximum of 500 characters Welsh (includes spaces) and 500 characters English (includes spaces)
EPG Billings: 190 characters across both Welsh and English
Billings within PAC: Please deliver all billings through the PAC System
Titles and Programme Sub-Titles: These are needed for the Listings/EPG/Clic and iPlayer. Sub-titles are helpful to the viewer in terms of searchability. It's worth considering short, catchy titles, as well as the naming trends of 'Title: Subtitle.'

There will be two operational sector meetings taking place in April. This is an opportunity for you to get to know and build relationships with S4C staff on an operational level. The first will be on the 3 April in Caernarfon and the second will be held in Carmarthen on the 9 April, and an opportunity to chat with S4C staff at the end of each session.

A note to inform you that the final payments of the Financial Year 2024/25 will be made on Thursday, 27 March 2025.
To ensure that companies are paid on this date, invoices must reach the Finance Department by 12.00 on Tuesday afternoon, 25 March 2025.
The first BACS payment of the Financial Year 2025/26 will be made on Tuesday, 1 April 2025.
To ensure that companies are paid on this date, invoices must reach the Finance Department by 12.00 on Monday afternoon, 31 March 2025.
Invoices can be sent via email to taliadau@s4c.cymru. This is a temporary change, with regular payments resuming on Monday, 7 April 2025.

During the sector meetings held in November the commissioners discussed their latest requirements. You can see the slides here on the production website.
With the Factual, Unscripted and Entertainment ideas please contact the relevant commissioner by email to discuss any initial ideas. If there is interest in the idea you will be asked to formally present them on Cwmwl.
With the Drama ideas please email a pitch of the series and preferably an example of 2 or 3 scenes. Looking for catchy 'bingable' series 30 minutes x 5/6/8 such as One Day and Normal People.
The closing date for the Factual, Non-Scripted and Entertainment commissioning window is 31/1/25 and Drama on 28/2/25.
We will respond to the Factual, Unscripted and Entertainment ideas by 21/2/25 and the Drama ideas by 11/4/25.

Invitation to tender: music (closing date midday 24/1/25)
Following a discussion between PRS for Music and S4C this morning, please note that music rights within your proposed budget should be based on the rates in the IPC agreement (i.e. UK only). Discussions with the successful producer regarding worldwide music rights will follow, but for the purposes of the tender please only include UK clearance costs.
