Corrections: Coed Isaf

On the 30th of November 2023 S4C published an article regarding Coed Isaf Nursing Home Limited and the care it provided one of its former residents. The item did not meet our editorial standards in terms of accuracy and impartiality, and we have since withdrawn the online article. We apologise for this.

In particular, we would like to make the following clear:

1. Whilst the Article clearly states that Mr Pile died of a heart attack, it should have been expressly stated, in case there was any doubt, that there is no evidence of a causal link between medication administered by Coed Isaf Nursing Home Limited and his death.

2. The Article should have been specific about the purpose of the inspection by Care Inspectorate Wales and the findings thereof.

3. The Article should have referred specifically to the findings of the report by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, not merely to the correspondence from the Consultant in Emergency Medicine.

4. The Article should have made it clear that Amisulpride was prescribed by a Consultant and was not administered in error.

We acknowledge these points and apologise for the shortcomings in our editorial standards.
