After over 200 miles and four days in the saddle, and a few tumbles along the way, the crew of 13 S4C workers have reached the end of their challenge to cycle from Caernarfon to Cardiff.
They have now risen over £4,000 for individual charities that are close to their hearts and as a group for the Velindre Cancer Care Unit. The Unit is the largest non-surgical cancer Hospital in Wales providing Radiotherapy, Chemotherapy and other specialised anti-cancer treatments for over half the people of Wales.
They began their journey at S4C’s office in Victoria Doc, Caernarfon at 9:30 Friday morning, 17 September, and reached the finishing line at the Channel’s headquarters in Llanishen, Cardiff at 16:15 Monday afternoon, 20 September.
“It was hard work, but it was also an unforgettable experience. We have had a great deal of fun along the way and we’d like to thank everyone for their support,” says Arwyn, S4C Planning Organiser, who was responsible for organising the challenge.

The crew have taken personal holidays to complete the task, and all costs – for hotels and transport to the starting line – will be paid for out of their own pockets.
