3 Children's BAFTA 2013 nominations for S4C

22 October 2013

It was announced today (22 October) that S4C have received 3 Children's BAFTA (UK) 2013 nominations.

S4C's interactive series Y Lifft has been nominated in the Children's BAFTA Multiplatform category.

This programme broke new ground in children's broadcasting in Britain when it was first broadcast in 2012 by allowing young people to watch the quiz show on the television whilst also playing along with the games on a second screen in their homes.

Y Lifft is produced by Boom Pictures Cymru in association with Cube Interactive, and CBBC have now bought the format to create a similar English language interactive version called Ludus.

The second nomination goes to Cyw, S4C's pre-school service, which is nominated as Channel of the Year. Cyw is also produced by Boom Pictures Cymru. The other channels in the running are Cartoon Network, CBeebies and Disney Junior.

Ha Ha Hairies is a series co-produced by S4C and Adastra Creative and is also up for nomination in the Pre-School Live Action category. S4C's viewers will know the series by its Welsh name, Bla Bla Blewog.

The winners will be announced in an Awards Ceremony on Sunday 24 November.
